Pop Star

It doesn't matter if I am getting fat or the kids like me better with my glasses....when I put on my sunglasses I become a "pop star."

"Mrs. Atkisson looks cool..."

That's right, sunglasses = pop star.

I was told yesterday:

"You look better with your glasses."

"You are getting fat."

Good thing they were both from 7 year olds. Otherwise, heads would roll.

I'm Having Fun

So, I love sewing. Here are some dresses I have made so far. :)

Valentine's Date

We went to Tucano's for Valentine's and it was delicious as usual. :) Here are some long awaited pictures of us. Sure love this guy.

Ultrasound

I went in for my ultrasound on Wednesday at 4:00 and the baby was moving and moving. Then when it came time to check if it was a he or a she its little legs were up over the body and the knees were shut tight together. No amount of prodding or poking could get it to move.

My appointment time ended and the nurse told me I could come back in a week for another ultrasound but I couldn't schedule it. I would just have to call in every morning and try to get fit in. The problem is a work in West Jordan and the Dr's office is in Orem. Also, I teach. So if they say, "Yeah, come in at 1:00 today." I can't do it, I can't get a sub in time.

I was BROKEN hearted. I was trying so hard not to cry while I was in there, and be grateful we saw the baby and it was healthy, but my disappointment was extreme. I was so looking forward to finding out the gender. We left and I sobbed. Seth said, "Nope, we are going to get an ultrasound at the mall." So we figured out the number and drove down to Sandy for an ultrasound at Fetal Photos in the mall. As soon as he put the machine on my stomach he said, "This is a perfect position! It's a girl!" Then he just let us see her and we watched her lay with her arm up over her head. And we saw her moving her lips. It was incredible. As soon as he said, "It's a girl!" I started sobbing all over again. I can't believe it! A daughter! Seth was pretty excited too, not as emotional as I was of course. :)

Anyway, we are excited to meet our little girl in June. We love her already!

18 Weeks

So, before I was pregnant, I would check blogs and all my friends were pregnant and so happy and so cute and it would make me mad. Why? Because I am an immature and jealous person. I mean, I would be happy for them too.... honest....but not after the annoying jealousy. Anywaysssss, here are some things all you jealous and immature readers can secretly gloat about.

Since I have gotten pregnant, I have had these issues:

ACNE!!! I have never, EVER, had acne or anything close and my face is NEVER clear now.
Dull hair. I used to have shiny luscious locks and now I have dreary strands.
Huge boobs, not a good thing. I hate them.
No more curve to my waist, the sides I mean. You know what I am talking about.

The list will probably get longer and longer as the months continue, but I love it. I love thinking the baby is growing inside there and stealing my beauty.

One week and I find out the gender of the baby. One freaking week. Finally.

A Picture!?!

As promised, here is a pregnant picture of me at 14 weeks...a month ago...but I haven't gotten much bigger since then and I have no good picture of now.

I felt the baby starting last week and feel it everyday now. It is pretty great.
