5 Things I Want Right Now

1. To lose 10 pounds
2. Have contacts
3. A puppy
4. A baby
5. Know where Seth is going to school in the fall

Anyone who grants me even one of these five wishes will be awarded Happy Thought Messages for the rest of their life.

I just said, "Pulleeezzeee" in my most longingly voice ever.

Celine...Celine

Bree and I went to the Celine concert on Sunday and had an exciting time. We took the Trax up there which is always exciting for me, worrying the whole time if I am going to miss my stop, yet knowing I am still far away from getting off.

We had pretty high seats. As the concert was starting we moved to the second row and watched the warm up performer at a close distance. I was scared to death we were going to get 'in trouble', Bree was calm and collected. As the warm up performer ended we got kicked out of our seats and headed back up to section CC. Once back it was pretty depressing to see Celine high five the people we were just sitting by. We never got to see her up close.

Her songs were wonderful like always and her face was definitely animated. She pulled a few cross-eyes and told us how horrible she felt for postponing the show back in November. All is forgiven.
Our actual seats
Our close seats. This part in the lower right is part of the stage.

We were looking pretty snazzy for the special event, that is for dang sure.

More Kid Quotes

Time for some more kid quotes!

Jacob: "I got it at, umm, you know, that place that sells junk but it isn't a junkyard?"
Me: "A pawn shop?"
J: "No..."
M: "DI?"
J: "Yeah!"

I was emotional in class discussing Martin Luther King Jr..
Odin: "Mrs. Atkisson, are you crying?"
Evan: "Don't worry Mrs. Atkisson, when Jesus comes again everyone will be resurrected."
Kendel: "Yeah, and sharks won't eat people anymore."

Evan was awarded the Star Student Award on Thursday. On Friday I asked him to quiet his voice and he replied, "Don't you remember the Principal said to be nice to the Star Students?"

In line he announced to his fellow class members, "Guys, respect the Star Student."

We wrote love poems after the style of a "Love is" poem.

Jayden wrote:

Love is like a cat.
Love is like a game.
Love is like a song.
Love is like a lego.

Jacob wrote:

Love is like a rose.
Love is like a rose.
Love is like a rose.
Love is like a rose.

Evan is obsessed with the fact that June 5th is our last day of school. "Last day ever?" he asks. "No, just for the summer, then in the fall you will be in second grade." I reply, over and over. The other day he started crying, "I don't want to leave." Then a chorus of 7 year old voices say, "I don't want to leave either!" In my head I think, 'I don't want to leave either.'
