Teacher Who Loves and Birthday Time

We are making, "The Important Thing" Books in class and were working on it today for the first time. I gave them practice pages and then after I helped correct their writing they could write it in their fancy-smanshy book.

This is Sara's. It made me cry.




For my birthday, my friend Jessica, Cami and I went out dancing at this place in SLC called Club 600. Lest you be concerned about me ditching my husband for nasty clubs and frolicking with other men, let me tell you it was a no-alcohol, no immodest dress club where I am sure everyone was under 21. Plus, the 'Top 40' room was empty, complete opposite of the 'Tropical' room (do you know what that is?)

We went out for drinks before hand to kill some time before arriving at the club. We mostly talked about our students and how much we love/hate teaching. :)

Teaching

Some of you know that it has been kinda iffy if I can stay at my school next year because of becoming Title I. Well, I met with the ARL head hancho today and we had this conversation:

J: "I do like my school. They don't know if I can stay there next year though because I am an ARL."
HH: "What? Who said that? That is wrong, you are a highly qualified teacher."
(I was informed by my Principal a couple weeks I am not highly qualified...not the best thing to hear)
J: "My principal and Kyle Hansen from the District."
HH: "Kyle Hansen, he is brand new, I know him. I will call him right now. There is NO reason you can't stay at your school. You are highly qualified at the federal and state level."

Whoooo hoooooo!!! I get to stay at my school!!!!


Contacts

I got my contacts today as well. I can't even feel the right one. The left is killing me. My eye hasn't stopped watering. We shall see how it goes tomorrow. But yippeeeeee! Good day! Sorry no pictures!

It's My Birthday

It's my birthday and I'll cry if I want to. I actually never understood that song, what the heck is she crying about.

Well, I have to say good-bye to something in the near future and I am NOT crying about it. Yeah, that's right not sad.

Goodbye glasses!!!!! Helllllooooooo face! (Seth got me an appointment for contacts for my birthday - yessss :fist pumping:)
