Celine...Celine

Bree and I went to the Celine concert on Sunday and had an exciting time. We took the Trax up there which is always exciting for me, worrying the whole time if I am going to miss my stop, yet knowing I am still far away from getting off.

We had pretty high seats. As the concert was starting we moved to the second row and watched the warm up performer at a close distance. I was scared to death we were going to get 'in trouble', Bree was calm and collected. As the warm up performer ended we got kicked out of our seats and headed back up to section CC. Once back it was pretty depressing to see Celine high five the people we were just sitting by. We never got to see her up close.

Her songs were wonderful like always and her face was definitely animated. She pulled a few cross-eyes and told us how horrible she felt for postponing the show back in November. All is forgiven.

Evan is obsessed with the fact that June 5th is our last day of school. "Last day ever?" he asks. "No, just for the summer, then in the fall you will be in second grade." I reply, over and over. The other day he started crying, "I don't want to leave." Then a chorus of 7 year old voices say, "I don't want to leave either!" In my head I think, 'I don't want to leave either.'

Nifty Fifties - Best Relief Society Night Ever

My Relief Society (a church group for women) as been advertising this Nifty Fifties party for over a month. I am trying to be more active in church activities so I went. I heard our Relief Society President did activities big, but I was totally unprepared for what I saw.

Yes, Elvis made an appearance.

The ketchup, mustard, and mayo bottles were full.
The record place mats had 50's songs on them but were sung by people in our ward.

The tables were set up like booths, with black lining between each one.

This lady, Alice, actually danced with Elvis once at Lagoon. Crazy.

The only downside, Rootbeer Floats. Can you tell which cup was mine?

They had the YW be waitresses on rollerblades who took our orders. Actual BBQ'ed hamburgers and fried fries. It was unbelievable. I award this Relief Society Party 2 thumbs up.

Changes

I haven't really been very informative about our lives in my last posts, basically because nothing has changed. But time is creeping by and I am feeling change in the air.

For those of you who don't know. Seth is taking the LSAT next month. Although he will be applying late, we are hoping this is the path the Lord wants for us, because the other paths we decided on are not working.

My wonderful, amazing, principal is leaving our school to become the Director of Elementary Schools for the new district. We are all very sad about it, and anxious to see what kind of person will replace him. I am a little nervous about it, ok, a lot nervous. I loved Principal Goble.

We are planning on taking vacation in June. This is a fun thing for me to plan in my spare time (haha, extra time, hahaha).

We are planning on moving in August when our contract is up, either to move to a law school out of state, or somewhere else in Utah depending on what happens in the next couple months.

My online History class is going well. I took a test last week and received a B+ for all my hard work and studying. Whoo hoo!

Our half marathon training has been going well. We completed two miles this week and are on to three on Tuesday.

For awhile now I have been content with no decisions, but in a matter of months that will change. I hate making decisions, especially big ones. But, such is life.

The Hair That Won't Dye

So, I am completely envious of my husband (who, on an unrelated subject, keeps getting out complimented than me. At church a lady turned around and told him he had a beautiful singing voice, now she didn't say "You guys have such great voices," no, her compliment was specific to Seth: "You have such a beautiful voice! Doesn't he?" Engaging me in my non-compliement. I need to step up my game. I didn't know we had a complimentor in front of us, I would have tried a little harder. That was only one example of many recently.) Anyway, back to the post, I am envious of my husband and sister-in-laws because of their gorgeous hair color. Deep rich dark brown.

Now, Loreal is no subsitute for natural color but I gave it a whirl. Before and after shots, day of:

Now, from the pictures you can see some difference in color. Darker yes, luxurious dark, no, but I was satisfied. Next day, I show my sister-in-laws:

The day after that, I was back to my original color which you can see in my broken nose post. Should I go black? Or not risk it, since I do have the hair that won't dye? I need help with this. I once dyed it bright blonde, want to see? Ok, I will show you.

I love my Dad in this picture. Just get in the picture already. Also, there is some definite hair in the lower right corner. Who's is it? Everyone in my family is in the picture or behind the camera.
